Hannah Lieberman is a former “modern dancer” who spends a lot of time inside her own head, and takes sarcasm very seriously. She buys a lot of books because she believes in following the trajectory of her mind and not her Goodreads list. When she isn’t being a recluse, she likes to go dancing in Bushwick, though sometimes she does that alone, too. Hannah writes about love, being a woman, dance, and an embodied life, though she is not an expert on any of these things.
Hannah graduated from UMass Amherst in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in English. Shortly after college, she moved to New York to pursue a dance career and presented work at Triskelion Arts, Arts on Site, Green Space, and with the Emerging Artists’ Theatre. She was also supported by the movement-based artist residency program at MOtiVE Brooklyn.
Hannah is currently a contributing writer and editor for the Dance Enthusiast.
She has worked for dance organizations Jacob’s Pillow, Gibney Dance, and Movement Research in administrative positions.
